Our Mission
Our approach to fashion is not only rooted in a deep appreciation for aesthetics but also in a strong sense of responsibility. We believe that every stage of a garment’s life, from its sourcing and construction to its second or even third wearer, carries the potential for positive impact. We aim to promote the recycling of gently used garments and encourage more responsible consumer behavior.
Through practices like upcycling, we challenge the norms of fast fashion and encourage a more conscious and creative approach to style. While our journey toward true sustainability is ongoing, we are taking deliberate steps to integrate more environmentally responsible fabrics and practices into our originals supply chain and constantly exploring methods that minimize waste and push the boundaries of what fashion can be. From biodegradable dyes to carbon neutral shipping, we see sustainability not as a limitation but as a creative opportunity. However, our focus is not only on the garments themselves, but also on the systems and relationships that shape how they come to life, so this mission is both an evolving effort and long-term commitment.
Our commitment to charity and political action is central to who we are. We believe fashion should not only express individuality but also foster a strong sense of solidarity. That’s why we work closely with organizations that provide clothing, shelter, and other essential resources to underserved communities.
We currently donate all unsold secondhand items (~95%) to local charities and non-profit organizations. Additionally, we pledge to begin donating a quarter of all profits to local charities and non-profit organizations by 2028 so that every purchase you make with us is designed to help meet the needs of real people in real communities.
As of 2025, we donate all used and unsold clothing to St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.
